Mrs. Wanda Lou Pardue, age 66, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Pardue was born December 27, 1947 in Wilkes County to Joseph Spencer and Kathleen Pruitt Payne. Mrs. Pardue was retired from Vaughn Bassett and attended Victory Baptist Church in Elkin. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Pardue. Survivors include: mother, Kathleen Pruitt Simmons of Elkin; daughters, Lynn Caudill of Elkin, Vickie Settle of the home, Tammy McGee of State Road and Candy Cheek of Elkin; brother, Bobby Payne and wife Dee of East Bend; sisters, Elaine Luffman of Elkin and Lois Lyon and husband Joe of Elkin; grandchildren, Amanda McGee, Carrie McGee, Derick Hawkins, Robert McGee, Dillon Hawkins, David McGee, Savannah Bryant, Danielle McGee and Maci Cheek; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Blackburn and Rev. Robert Fritchey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd. Dobson, NC 27017.
