Vess Dale Haynes

July 31, 1939 — August 31, 2014

Mr. Vess Dale Haynes, age 75, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Haynes was born July 31, 1939 in Yadkin County to Vess Hayes and Alma Macy Haynes. Mr. Haynes retired from Sprint and was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. He was also a past member of Elkin Masonic Lodge # 454. Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: his wife, Margaret Gentry Haynes of the home; sons, Gary Haynes and wife Wendy of Jonesville and Brad Haynes and wife Jaime of Jonesville; daughter, Pam Groce and husband Greg of Jonesville; sisters, Gerry Elledge and husband Jack of Hays and Sue Tharpe of Ronda; grandchildren, Jake Groce and wife Taylor, Boone Groce, Sydney Haynes, Molly Haynes, Jace Haynes and Jadyn Haynes. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Fall Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Don Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice 401 Technology Lane Suite 200 Mt. Airy, NC 27030 or Fall Creek Baptist Church Building Fund 33620 Fall Creek Church Road Jonesville, NC 28642.
