Mrs. Dorothy B. "Dot" Wagoner, age 67, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Wagoner was born September 23, 1946 in Surry County. Mrs. Wagoner was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her mother, Zelda Barker. Survivors include: daughters, Marti Willard and husband Randy of Boonville and Traci Wagoner of Elkin; granddaughter, Caitlin Martin; several loving nieces and nephews; host of good friends and special grand dog, Sweet Potato. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Gleonard Lawson, Rev. Judy Davis and Rev. Barlow Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Herman Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests memorials be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery fund, Mount Herman Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Mountain Valley Hospice 401 Technology Lane Suite 200 Mount Airy, NC 27030. The family would like to thank the staff of Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home for their care.
