Mrs. Nancy Jane Johnson, age 82, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Mrs. Johnson was born August 7, 1931 in Surry County to Everett Franklin and Etta Gentry Wagoner. Mrs. Johnson retired from Lucia and was a member of Elkin Valley Baptist Church. In additon to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Eugene Johnson, a son, Mickey James Johnson, four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: sons, Gary Dale Wagoner and wife Libby of Jonesville, Ricky Gene Johnson and wife Cathy of State Road, James Gregory Johnson and wife Susan of Jax Beach, FL, Clyde Franklin Johnson of Traphill, Billy Allen Johnson and wife Kathy of Colfax, a sister, Betty Ann Luffman of Jonesville, her grandchildren, Melissa Johnson Crouse, Phillip Johnson, Jacob Wagoner, Christopher Johnson, David Johnson, Jason Wagoner, Lauren Johnson Giles, James Johnson II and Amber Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Andrew Crouse, Austin Crouse, Ashton Giles, Gatlin Wagoner, Jasper Wagoner, Stella Wagoner, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 25, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Smith, Pastor Johnny Norman and Rev. Gary Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. The family would like to thank Mary Sprinkle and the second floor ICU at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital for all their love and care.
