Flora Luffman Tucker

Mrs. Flora Ennis Luffman Tucker age 100, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014. Mrs. Tucker was born July 8, 1913 in Wilkes County to Luther and Alice Harris Luffman. Mrs. Tucker was the oldest member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ledford Tucker; six brothers; two sisters; one grandson and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include: son, Gaither Tucker and wife Sarah of Siler City; daughters, Sue Blackburn and husband Lowell of State Road and Wilda Heard and husband Joe of Roaring Gap; sister-in-law, Pearl Luffman of State Road; grandchildren, Michael Blackburn, Darrell Blackburn, Sonya Jones, Troy Tucker, Kristi Eskelund and Kara Withee; eighteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Smith and Rev. Jason Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery fund, 1997 Pleasant Ridge Rd. State Road, NC 28676.
