Mr. Larry "Pa" Reece, age 62 of Lowgap, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014. Mr. Reece was born June 8, 1951 in Surry County to Rev. James Monroe Reece and Ruby Frances Chappell Reece. He was a member of Roaring Gap Baptist Church and retired from Tar Hill Converter & Core and B&B Boxwood. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Shelby White and brother, Don Reece. Survivors include: wife, Cathy Pritchard Reece of the home; sons, Jim Reece of Yadkinville and Michael Reece and his wife Erin of Greenville, NC; daughters, Lori Wishon and husband Randy of Yadkinville, Lea Reece of Yadkinville, and Carey Beth "Baby Girl" Reece and Keith Thomas of Lowgap' sister, Wilma Smith and husband David of Mountain Park; grandchildren, Tiffany Wishon, Derrick Wishon, Stephen Reece, Shelby Reece, Sammy Reece, Enan Reece, Clara Reece, "Baby Daughter" Reece, Dalyion Matthews, Molly Thomas, and Brooklynn Thomas. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Jamie White officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will be private.
