Mr. Fred Milton Hincher, age 74, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hincher was born June 24, 1939 in Wilkes County to Ambrose Milton and Maude Lyons Hincher. Mr. Hincher was a member of Roaring River Primitive Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of Fred's Auto Service & Sales in Benham. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include:his wife, Joyce T. Hincher of the home;sons, Randall Hincher and wife Heather of Boonville, Kevin Milton Hincher and wife Kathy of Benham and Jody Hincher of Concord; brothers, Von Hincher of Summerville, SC, Clyde Hincher of Beaufort, SC and Allen Hincher of New Bern; sisters, Arlene Harris of N. Wilkesboro and Rachel Jordan of N. Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Ashley Hincher, Arric Hincher and Heather Lee Hincher; special people in Fred's life, Doris Cox, Mary Shelton, Jane Hincher and Michael Vestal; caregiver, Josie Crabb. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Old Roaring River Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Wood, Rev. Jerry Childress, Rev. John Lyons and Rev. David Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
