Mrs. Linda Judy Angel Somers, age 67, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Mrs. Somers was born May 2, 1946 in Forsyth County to James Monroe and Ethel Clea Scott Angel. Mrs. Somers was a member of Grassy Creek United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include: husband, Tim Somers of Thurmond; sons, Lee Adams of Traphill and Melvin James Adams, Sr. and wife Margie of Hamptonville; step-son, John Timothy Somers of Washington; brother, Jimmy Lee Angel of Love Valley; sisters, Betty King of Winston Salem, Nancy Edwards of Winston Salem and Barbara Dix of Florence, SC.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. David Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
