Mr. Charles Thomas Baity, age 73 passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014. Mr. Baity was born January 3, 1941 in Yadkin County to Charlie and Ohna Cook Baity. Mr. Baity was a graduate of East Wilkes High School and enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and was a huge sports fan of Wake Forest University. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: wife, Wanda Cleary Baity of the home; son, James Daniel Cox and wife Abby of Jonesville; daughter, Ashley Marie Baity of Elkin; sisters, Peggy Luffman and husband David of Apex, Betty Jean Cornatzer, Hilda Pardue and husband Clyde of Ronda and Jennie King of Elkin; grandchildren, James Alvin Cox and wife Brittany, Amanda Collins and husband Gray, Allison Nichole Robsin and husband Wesley, Brandy Abbigale Cox, Crystal Marie Conner and Skylar Star Baity; great-grandchildren, Laila Collins and Addyson Robsin. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. David Key officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
