Mrs. Cecilia Jean Conley, age 68 passed away, Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Mrs. Conley was born July 15, 1945 in Baltimore, MD to Cecil and Doris Jean Morris. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Eugene Conley and step-father, Harry Shortt. Survivors include: father, Cecil Morris of Clarksburg, WVA; sons, Richard Conley and wife Donna of Elkin, Jimmy Conley of Elkin and Tim Conley of Elkin; daughter, Angel Blackburn of Elkin; brothers, Harry Shortt, Jr. of New Port Richey, FL and Larry Shortt of Baltimore, MD; sister, Liz Holland of Roanoke, VA.; twenty grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Bill Johnson, Hospice Chaplin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
