Mrs. Juanita Gentry Willey, age 90 passed away, Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Willey was born May 28, 1923 in Forsyth County to John Ralph and Martha Parker Gentry. Mrs. Willey was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Willey and brother, Paul Gentry. Survivors Include: sons, Jimmy Willey and wife Frances of Elkin and Robert Willey of Burlington; brother, John Gentry of Monks Corner, SC; sister-in-law, Janice Gentry of State Road; grandchildren, Ralph Willey and wife GiGi, Amanda Rasnick and husband David, David Willey and wife Jessica, Ann Willey and husband Jeff Douglas and Edith Murdock and husband Jacob; great-grandchildren, Meagan Willey, Nathan Willey, Connor Willey, River Douglas and Carson Douglas; many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. John Attaway officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will accept friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family request memorials may be made to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church PO Box 130 State Road, NC 28676 or Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home 401 Technolgy Lane Suite 200 Mt. Airy, NC 27030. The family would like to thank the staff at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center and Mountain Valley Hospice for their love and care.
