Anne Harris Chrisley

Mrs. Anne Harris Chrisley, age 93, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 with her loving daughters by her side. Mrs. Chrisley was born December 31, 1920 in Surry County to James H. and Ella McCann White. Mrs. Chrisley was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She studied interior design and also taught tole painting, decoupage and flower arranging at Surry Community College. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Rutherford Maynard Harris; second husband, Clarence "Chris" Chrisley; brother, Artis White; sister, Ruby Snow; grandson, John "John John" Rutherford Nixon. Survivors include: daughters, Patricia Anne Griggs and husband Dr. John Griggs of Hickory, Lynne Morris and husband Ken of Hickory; step-daughters,Nancy Ocker of Knoxville, MD and Norma Cranston of Hiwassee, VA; step son, Buddy Chrisley of Pulaski, VA; brother, Billy White and wife Jackaye of Ft. Lauderdale; grandchildren, Jennifer Arnold and husband Scott, Jayme Linton and husband Angelos; great-grandchildren, Anna Laura "Annie" Linton and Deacon Linton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. John Attaway officiating. Burial will follow at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church 1432 US 21 Hwy North, State Road, NC 28676 or Samaritans Purse, P.O. Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607. The family would like to thank special caregivers Iva Dean Dobbins, Margaret Graham, Carolyn Combs and Mandy Foster for the loving care they provided.
