Carol Brown Edwards

Mrs. Carol Brown Edwards, age 72, passed away Saturday November 30, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Edwards was born July 6, 1941 in Alleghany County to Willie Garnett and Ruth Dixon Brown. Mrs. Edwards was a member of Mining Ridge Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Mining Ridge Baptist Church Women's Circle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ray E. Brown. Survivors include; her husband, George F. Edwards of the home, a son, G. Stephen Edwards of State Road, a daughter, Stephanie E. Allen and husband Greg of State Road, two grandchildren, S. Kohl Edwards and Connor Allen, a brother, Rufus Junior Brown and wife Betty of Sparta, a sister, Mary Lee Greene and husband Ronnie of Ennice, several nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Mining Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Wood, Randall Money and Rev. Frank Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
