Mr. William "Howard" Pardue, age 86, passed away Friday November 15, 2013 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Pardue was born August 9, 1927 in Surry County to Richard John and Callie Garris Pardue. Mr. Pardue retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Pardue served as a town commissioner for the town of Arlington. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Rickey Pardue, his brothers, R.B. Pardue, Richard Pardue, Jr., his sisters, Pauline Weatherman, Betty Helsabeck, Mary Louise Pardue. Survivors include; his wife, Winnie S. Pardue of the home, sons, Danny Pardue and wife Ann Key Pardue of Lewisville, Greg Pardue and wife Ramona of Jonesville, a daughter, Debbie Shaw and husband David of Jonesville, a brother, Wayne Pardue and wife Dana of State Road, a sister, Bonnie Frances of Rural Hall, grandchildren, Melody Barker and John Phipps, Dickie Shaw and wife Bridget, Will Shaw, Emma Pardue, Calvin Pardue, Pierre Begay, great grandchildren, Tyler Barker and Sid Barker, a sister-in-law, Norma Pardue of Conover, a brother-in-law, Coy Haynes of Ronda Funeral services will be held Monday November 18, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Pardue officiating. Burial will follow in Cranberry Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8pm at Elkin Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to NC Baptist Children's Home PO Box 338 Thomasville, NC 27360. The family would like to thank Linda Lyons, Kathy Henderson and Betty Snow for their love and assistance to the Pardue family.
