Mr. Raymond Burton Collins, Sr. age 82 passed away Friday, November 08, 2013 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Collins was born October 25, 1931 in Wilkes County to Benjamin F. and Octavia Crouse Collins. Survivors include: his wife, Samantha M. Collins; son, Raymond B. Collins, Jr. of Thurmond; grandchildren, Adam Lee Collins and wife Melissa, Joshua Aaron Collins; great-grandchildren, Barbara Jane Collins and Donovan Lee Collins. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Gid Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Danny Royall, Rev. Bob Lyles and Rev. Adam Collins officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. The family would like to thank the staff at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home for their care.
