Mrs. Retha McCann Bauguess, age 83 passed away Thursday August, 29, 2013. Mrs. Bauguess was born October 26, 1929 in Surry County to Reubin and Verlie Blevins McCann. Mrs. Bauguess was a member Rocky Ford Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bauguess and son-in-law Clarence Moody. Survivors include: her sons; Ricky Bauguess and wife Dianna of State Road and Larry Bauguess and wife T.J. of Tarboro, daughter; Judy Moody of State Road, sisters; Alene Golden of State Road and Norma Newman of Mount Airy, grandchildren; Brandon Bauguess and Seth Bauguess and wife Rebecca. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Rocky Ford Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Parrish and Rev. Claude Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, August 30, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. The family would like to thank the staff and Hospice of Elkin Health Care for the loving care they gave Mrs. Bauguess.
