Mrs. Nancy Lee Nixon, age 74 passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Nixon was born May 14, 1939 in Surry County to Emmitt and Lula Wagoner Golden. Mrs. Nixon was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Curtis Nixon and brother, Garvey Golden. Survivors include: sons, Greg C. Nixon and wife Vicky of Thurmond, Jeff N. Nixon and wife Frances of Thurmond; daughter, Katherine N. Minton and husband Donny of Thurmond,brother; Tommy Golden and wife Alleen of State Road,sister; Julia Presnell of TN; grandchildren, Candy Nixon Lineberry and husband Lee, Nathan Nixon, Curtis Coe and wife Heather, Shantana Nixon and Brittany Nixon; Step-grandchildren, Shannon Minton and wife Dandy, Brandon Minton and wife Donna and Nicholas Minton and wife Sarah; five great- grandchildren, Meka Lineberry, Charley Lineberry, Lucius Coe, Jayden Coe and Kaylen Coe, four step great-grandchildren; Caleb Minton, Breannon Minton, Lyric Brown and Malachi Brown. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Tony White and Rev. John Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank the staff at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home for their care.
