Doris Blackburn

May 2, 1920 — July 22, 2013

Elkin Ms. Doris Blackburn, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 22, 2013. Ms. Blackburn was born May 2, 1920 in Wilkes County to York and Pearl Spicer Blackburn. Ms. Blackburn retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Center Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother and sister and a half brother and sister. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Crestwood Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Earl Blackburn, Jr. and Rev. Ken Boles.
