Mr. Mark Whitaker, age 45 of Jonesville went home to Heaven today July 8, 2013 walking side by side with his Lord Jesus, smiling and walking tall once again, no more pain or tears, his tiny, frail exhausted body that he suffered with and endured for many years, replaced, made whole once again. Mr. Whitaker is preceded in death by his parents; Willie and Linda Boggs Whitaker. Those left to cherish; his loving devoted wife Tina Whitaker of the home, Mark's very special mother and father-in-law, Julie and Edward Bullin of Boonville, Mark was the son they never had, he brought them much love and happiness. Brother; Jeff Whitaker and wife Marcia of Ashboro, sister; Donna Whitaker of Winston Salem; two step-nieces, one special niece; Nicole Whitaker who was the center of Mark's world. Mark's dear brothers that he worked with at Pike Electric, Paul Wilson, Mike Woodruff, Joey Jenkins, Victor Vaught, Randy Goings and Donnie Gray, and to all of the people at Pike Electric each and everyone one of you meant the world to Mark. He brought an enormous beautiful ray of sunshine to each person he ever met. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Charity Baptist Church with Rev. Donny Gray and Rev. Eddie Driver officiating. Burial will follow at Redeeming Grace Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mark Whitaker memorial fund. Mark's wife Tina would like to Thank her parents for being Mark's everything, both meant the world to him, and he loved you both very much, Thank you mom and dad. The family would like to thank Dr. Howard Nabors, Dr. Isaacs, Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, and a very special Thank you to Nancy Mitch you were the highlight of Mark's day and we thank you very much for everything you did for him and loving him.
