Mrs. Betty Jean Wagoner, age 76, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born January 1, 1937 in Wilkes County to Lonnie and Mabel Brown Ledbetter. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Level Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvie Sanford Wagoner and a sister, Dollie Smith. Survivors include: daughter, Joan Luffman and her husband Billy of State Road; sons, Donnie Wagoner and wife Faye of Statesville, Gregory Wagoner and wife Michelle of Elkin, and Todd Wagoner and wife Susan of Jonesville; grandchildren, Joshua Wagoner and wife Michelle, Ashley Luffman, Whitney Luffman, Kaitland Wagoner, Noel Wagoner, and Courtney Wagoner; great grandchildren, Gabe, Piper, Eli, Sunshine, and Enoch Wagoner; and sisters, Joyce Walker and her husband J.D. and Judy Curry and her husband Butch. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Matthias Ponce-de-Leon officiating. Burial will follow in Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. The family requests that memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 N.
