Mrs. Connie Bell Haynes Durham, age 85 of Elkin, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center. She was born September 4, 1927 in Yadkin County to Lafayette "Loff" and Fannie Swaim Haynes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Glen Durham and a brother, Rev. Othel Haynes. Connie retired from the main office of Chatham Manufacturing Co. She graduated from West Yadkin High School and Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga. She was a member of Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include her two children; daughter Glenda Webster (Dan) of Winston-Salem and son, Lindsay Durham (Kay Gentry) of Hamptonville; grandchildren, Brooke Webster (Catherine) of Winston-Salem, Jason Webster (Whitney) of Winston-Salem, Adam Durham (Shasta) of Shelby, and Madison Durham of Jonesville; and five great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church. The family requests that memorials be made to Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church, 258 W.
