Mr. Robert Lewis "R.L." Bauguess, age 79 of Elkin, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Bauguess was born October 31, 1933 in Wilkes County to Charlie Lytle and Ina Mae Myers Bauguess. Mr. Bauguess was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Emma Hanes Bauguess and three sisters, Marjorie Bauguess, Mildred Ashley and Bonnie Bryant. Survivors include: his brother, Jerry Dean Bauguess and wife Carolyn Hall Bauguess of Lewisville; sister, Evelyn Blackburn and husband Bill of N. Wilkesboro and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Kenny Wood and Rev. Jeff Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 199 Mining School Road, State Road, NC 28676.
