Mrs. Carla Crouse Cain, age 38, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Duke Medical Center. Mrs. Cain was born October 20, 1974 in Surry County to Carl Burton and Peggy Jo Southard Crouse. Mrs. Cain was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Cain was preceded in death by her father, Carl Burton Crouse. Survivors include: her husband, Lewis Cain of the home; her mother, Peggy Jo Southard Crouse of Thurmond; son, Justin Billings; stepdaughters, Lindsay Cain and Carlie Cain; sister, Teresa Tuttle of Traphill and special canine companion, Diesel. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. E.R. Wiles officiating. Burial will follow in Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. The family would like to thank the staff of Duke Medical Center.
