Elkin Mrs. Lorene Casey Hinson, 81, passed away Sunday March 10, 2013 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Hinson was born December 7, 1931 in Surry County to John Young and Zillie Tucker Casey. Mrs. Hinson retired from Chatham Manufacturing after forty years of service. She currently was employed by Wal-Mart as a Greeter. Mrs. Hinson was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Gid Hinson, four brothers, Bill Tucker, Junior Casey, Russell Casey, Monroe Casey, three sisters, Ruby Darnell, Polly Vestal, Hazel Casey. Survivors include, two daughters, Becky Hinson Money and husband William of Dobson, Jeri Lynn Hinson of Ronda, two granddaughters, Stephanie Brooke Money of Raleigh, Lindsay Beth Money of Greensboro, a sister, Marie Casey Swaim of Elkin, and a special caregiver, Audrey Marsh of Elkin. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Cool Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. David Key, Rev. Russ Nixon, Rev. David Byrd. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 pm at Elkin Funeral Service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice 688 North Bridge Street Elkin, NC 28621. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the love and care given to Mrs. Hinson during her illness to 2nd floor nursing staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, Mountain Valley Hospice and Woltz Hospice Home and to Dr. Allbright at Wake Forest Medical Center Comprehensive Cancer Center of Elkin.
