Mr. John Earl Randleman, age 64 passed away, Monday, January 28, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Randleman was born August 15, 1948 in Surry County to John Ervin and Myrtle Brooks Randleman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Randleman and Carbet Randleman; two sisters, Jeanette Prevette and Louise Jackson and an infant brother. Survivors include: his son, John Hooker of Harmony; daughters, Darlis Martin of Taylorsville and Cynthia Eldred and husband Greg of Greensboro; sisters, Geraldine Tilley of Jonesville, Mildred Poteat of Ronda and Dorothy Randleman of Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Sage Eldred and Anson Eldred; several nieces and nephews and a special longtime friend, Shelby Brewer and family of Jonesville. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Don Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hamptonville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Elkin Funeral Service. The family request that memorials be made to Hospice of Yadkin County, 208 Jackson St., Yadkinville, NC 27055 or Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, Post Office Box 5, Hamptonville, NC 27020. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center for the care they gave Mr. Randleman.
