Mr. Steven Reid Willey, age 62, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Willey was born February 2, 1950 in Surry County to Reid and Angie Underwood Willey. Mr. Willey retired from Estees Trucking Company and was a member of Center Baptist Church. Mr. Willey was a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Willey. Survivors include; his wife, Peggy Parks Willey of the home, two sons, Daniel Steven Willey and his friend Faith Bullard of Greenville, SC, Richard Franklin Willey and wife Andrea of State Road, two daughters, Kelly Diann Martin and husband Kevin of Elkin, Lisa Michele Bowman and husband Robert of State Road, a brother, Johnny Willey and wife Diane of Lowgap, two sisters, Adale White and husband Gary of Elkin, Brenda Wood and husband Kelly of State Road, four grandchildren, Kasey Martin, Kaden Martin, Dakota Bowman, Kayla Bowman, a special friend, Stitch. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday January 2, 2013 at Center Baptist Church at 2:00 pm conducted by Rev. Jimmy Gillreath, Rev. Mark Reece and Richard Willey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors provided by United States Army Honor Guard and the Wilkes County Honor Guard Post 1142. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8:30 pm at Elkin Funeral Service.
