Mary Davis Lyon

September 3, 1917 — December 28, 2012

Mrs. Mary Davis Lyon, age 95, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born September 3, 1917 in Alexander County to Hayden Davis and Bertha Chapman Davis. Mrs. Lyon was retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Lyon; son, Buddy Chappell; brothers, Roland Davis and Robert Davis; and sister, Mabel Eldridge. Survivors include: granddaughter, Abby Chappell; great grandchildren, Benjamin, Kaitlyn, and Grayson; and great-great grandchild, Madylin. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehab Center for their care.
