Mrs. Mary Gentry Money, age 84, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012. Mrs. Money was born December 28, 1927 in Surry County to Burdette & Stella Newman Gentry. In addition to her parents Mrs. Money was preceded in death by her husband, Edworth Money and brothers, Joseph Gentry and Tom Gentry. Survivors include: her son, Ed Worth Money and wife Evelyn of State Road; brother, J. B. Gentry and wife Carol of Texas; sister, Betty Holbrook and husband Bill of Rural Hall; grandchildren, Eddie Dwayne Money, Christopher Day, Lisa Dunn, Jacqueline Williams and Jonathan Billings; ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The family would like to thank Courtney for the love and care that she gave to her great grandmother. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Kenny Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
