Mr. Earl Johnson, age 82, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Johnson was born February 10, 1930 in Wilkes County to Robert Alexander & Viola Nicholson Johnson. He was retired from Branscomb Produce. In addition to his parents Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Survivors include: his wife, Helen B. Johnson of the home; sons, Robert "Bobby" Johnson and wife Yvonne of Pilot Mountain and Glenn Johnson and wife Jan of Advance; daughters, Mary Russell and husband Butch of King, Kathy J. Tuttle and husband Paul of Pinnacle and Anna J. Wasdell of Apex; sister, Maude Kennedy of Traphill; grandchildren, Paul Tuttle,Jr., Chris Tuttle, Edward Wasdell, Early Russell, John Russell, Jeannie Fanelli, Stephanie Johnson, Alex Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Zach Johnson and Katie Johnson; great grandchildren, Emily Tuttle, Kayleigh Russell, Colby Johnson, Isaiah Johnson, Hayes Wasdell and Shepp Wasdell. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Walter Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Roaring River Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
