Mr. Phillip David Gail,age 36 of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 2 P.M. Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church in Elkin, NC with burial following in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 to 8 P.M. at Heritage Funeral Home, 4431 Old Monroe Road, Indian Trail NC 28079. Phil was born April 9, 1976 in California to Dewey Gail and Elizabeth Gail. He made his home in Charlotte since the age of three, and he became an Eagle Scout, and graduated from UNCC in 1998. Phil began working in Mobile Banking. at Bank of America in 2001 Phil really loved motorcycles, hunting and fishing, but more than anything he loved spending time with his wife and sons. His survivors include his wife of nearly twelve years, Heather Blackburn Gail; his sons, Charlie and Harry Gail; mother, Liz Gail of Charlotte; father, Dewey Gail of Medford, OR; brother, Michael Gail of Elko, NV; and his father and mother in-law, Larry and Sharon Blackburn of Elkin, NC. The family asks that memorials may be sent to the Phil Gail Trust Fund , c/o Bank of America account number 237026928968. Arrangements for the Gail family are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home.
