Hays Mrs. Bonnie Gentry Knight, 61, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Knight was born in Surry County November 17, 1950 to Paul and Blanche Snow Gentry. Mrs. Gentry retired from Wilkes Senior Village and was a member of Shoaly Branch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Joines and a brother, Claude Gentry. Survivors include; her husband, Billy Ray Knight of the home, a daughter, Amanda Spears and husband James of Cricket, two brothers, Jim Gentry and wife Evelyn and Ronnie Gentry and wife Frances and a niece, Mary Marie Roberts all of Wilkes, two grandchildren, Crystal Trivette and Matthew Trivette of Wilkes. Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel conducted by Rev. William Laws. Burial will follow in Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Elkin Funeral Service.
