Jonesville, Mr. Bedford Franklin Bauguess, age 95, a husband, father and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Bauguess was born, June 12, 1917 in Wilkes County to John & Ennis Rash Bauguess. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Belle McGrady Bauguess; sister, Vavie Octavia Bauguess Harris; brothers, Colon Bauguess, Brady Bauguess and Theodore Bauguess. Mr. Bauguess was an active and faithful member of Arlington First Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran that served in the European Theater during the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Bauguess worked at Chatham Manufacturing Company in the Wet Finish department. Mr. Bauguess retired from Bates Nitewear. Survivors include: daughters, Helen Johnson and husband, Earl of Winston-Salem, Linda Liles and husband, Tom of State Road and Elaine Goforth and husband, Shelton of Winston-Salem; brother-in- law, John Earl McGrady of Traphill; sister-in-law, Myrtle Harris McGrady of Elkin; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Bobby Norman and Rev. Michael Church officiating. Burial will follow at Old Roaring River Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
