Jonesville, Mr. Jerry Lee Chandler, age 67 of Jonesville, passed away Friday, August 24, 2012 unexpectedly following a fishing accident. He was born September 14, 1945 in Yadkin County to Annie Pearl Vestal. Jerry was owner and operator of Chandler Painting. He was a member of Grace Full Gospel Church. He loved the Lord, his family, including his church family. His hobbies included fishing, arrowhead hunting, and "eating." Jerry was preceded in death by his mother; step father, Claude Hemric; and a son, Eric Jerome Chandler. Survivors include: his wife of 29 years, Phyllis E. Chandler of the home; sons, Terry Lee Chandler of Wilkesboro and Michael Joe Chandler of Georgia; step sons, Sammy Wood of Jonesville, Rick Longworth of Winston-Salem, Doug Longworth of Elkin, Cliff Longworth of Ronda, and Todd Longworth of Jonesville; step daughters, Sharon Hamby of Mt. Airy, Ramona Dellinger of Winston-Salem, and Amy Longworth of Jonesville; brother, Tommy Hemric of Winston-Salem; sisters, Julie Bullin of Boonville and Betty Bullin of Boonville; the mother of his children, Josephine Gentry of Jonesville; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and his beloved canine companion, Shadow. A memorial service will be conducted Monday, August 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Full Gospel Church with Rev. Bobby Prevette and Mr. Don Mullins officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Grace Full Gospel Church, Messick Road, Jonesville, NC 28642.
