Elkin, Ms. Patricia Lane Vestal, age 73, passed away, Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Ms. Vestal was born February 22, 1939 in Yadkin County to Horace W. and Daphna Pardue Vestal. Ms. Vestal retired from Western Electric in Winston-Salem; she was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesville and a tremendous supporter of Tri-C Ministries. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Kelly J. Vestal. Survivors include: sister, Glenda Vestal Ratledge Waddell of Elkin;; nephew, Thomas H. Ratledge Jr. and his wife, Laurie; niece, Daphne Lee Knill and her husband, Pete; great nephews, Thomas H. Ratledge III and Joseph Peter Knill; great nieces, Katie Lynn Ratledge and Rachel Caroline Knill special cousins, Rosa Lee Pardue Harris and Gene Pardue and wife, Shelby Pat remained close to her friends, Vivian Long and Brenda Glascoe. They celebrated birthdays and special occasions together. Pat loved animals, especially her rescue cat, Maris. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Pam Anthony officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 am.
