Mrs. Margie Church Martin, age 68 of N. Wilkesboro, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012. She was born February 11, 1944 in Wilkes County to Ennis Mabe Church and James H. Church. Mrs. Martin attended Bible Assemble Church in Elkin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Lynn Church; and grandchildren, Bobby Dale Miller and Amber Rae Miller. Survivors include: son, Sonny Martin and his wife Anita of Sophia; daughters, Teresa M. Miller and her husband Johnny of Trinity and Misty M. Chambers and her husband John of Denton; sisters, Doris Johnson and her husband Percy of N. Wilkesboro and Wanda Billings and her husband Gary of N. Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Jessica, Tabatha, Emily, and Gary; and great grandchildren, Tyler, Kailee, and Courtney. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 19, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Bible Assembly Church with Rev. Willie Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. The family requests that memorials be made to Bible Assembly Church, 2003 CC Camp Road, Elkin, NC 28621 The family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice, the staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, Living Waters Home Health, Dr. Paul Garrison, Wanda and Gary Billings, Debra Driggers, and Elsie Billings for their care.
