Marian Elliott O'Neal

Mrs. Marian Elliott O'Neal, age 87, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at High Point Regional Medical Center. She was born March 30, 1925 in Anderson County, SC to Mary Ida Tatum Elliott and Boyce Cleveland Elliott. Mrs. O'Neal was a former, longtime member of Peace Haven Baptist Church in N. Wilkesboro and a current member of South Elm Street Baptist Church in Greensboro. She was a member of the Eastern Star Catawba 131 in Rock Hill, SC. Mrs. O'Neal retired from the Stone Mountain Baptist Association. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lorie Kirby O'Neal and brothers, Harold Elliott, Herman Bridges Elliott, and Boyce Murray Elliott. Survivors include: son, Elliott Wheeler and his wife Donna of Columbia, SC; daughter, Lorie Dobert and her husband Craig of Greensboro; sister, Carolyn Elzey and her husband Welton of Pensacola, Fl; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Haven Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Pruitt officiating. Entombment will follow in Mount Lawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. At the request of the family, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. The family would like to thank the staff of Graybrier Nursing and Rehab Center for their care.
