Carol Maria Collins

Mrs. Carol Maria Collins, age 66 of Elkin passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Collins was born February 24, 1946 in Wilkes County to Clide Combs Parsons and Albert Parsons. She was a member of Round Mountain Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harldene Collins and three brothers. Mrs. Collins is survived by a daughter Louise C. Parsons and her husband Junior of Elkin; two grandsons, Josh Holbrook and Brandon Holbrook; and one great granddaughter Elizabeth Holbrook. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Charity Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Cardwell and Rev. Dennis Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Rich Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Alleghany County. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. prior to the service at Charity Hill Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Linda Thomas, Joan Miles, the many family and friends and Mountain Valley Hospice for their care.
