Mrs. Carol Billings Williams, age 66 of State Road, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012. She was born October 17, 1945 in Surry County to Sarah "Sally" Smoot Billings and Sherman Billings. Mrs. Williams was retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Stoney Ridge Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Sue Minton and a sister-in-law, Marlene Whitley Billings. Survivors include: her husband Russell Williams of the home; sons, Jason Billings of Tupelo, MS and Michael Williams and his wife Yeny of N. Wilkesboro; daughters, Cindy Billings Cross of the home and Rebecca Williams Gregory and her husband Kevin of Boonville; brothers, Lester Billings and his wife Becky and Ricky Billings; sisters, Doris Hall, Joan White and her husband Windell, Shirley Murphy; grandchildren, Tristan Williams, Jeffrey Williams, Mia Williams, Savannah Cross, Williams Cross, and Morgan Gregory; numerous generations of nieces and nephews, special friends and family, Kathleen Smith, Rocky Gregory, the many brothers and sisters-in-law, and God grandchildren, Serina, MyKinna, and Zeb Jarvis. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. A graveside celebration will follow at Stoney Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rex Williams and Rev. Travis Lloyd officiating. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family would like to thank staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and 3rd floor staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.
