Linville Eugene Hincher, age 69 of Ronda, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. He was born July 16, 1942 in Wilkes County to Linville Osco Hincher and Doreen Rash Hincher. Mr. Hincher was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Air Force. He was retired from Sunbeam Corporation and was a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church. Mr. Hincher had also been active with the Cub Scouts, Troop 644. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James Hincher and two infant sisters. Survivors include his wife, Janice Walls Hincher of the home; son, David Bronson Hincher and his wife Mara Jill of Philadelphia, PA; foster son, Jimmy Ashley, Jr. of Raleigh; brothers, Junior Lee Hincher of Hays and Claude Curtis Hincher and his wife Shannon of Boone; sister, Reta Wyatt and her husband Bronce of Wilbar; granddaughter, Lucy Madeline Hincher; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Rex Cranfill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post 10346. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. The family requests that memorials be made to Maple Springs United Methodist Church Building Fund. The family would like to thank nieces Robyn & Chris Shelton and Sonya Jordan and caregivers Mildred Shew and Shannon Hall for their care.
