Mr. Christopher Carl Cox, age 41 of Elkin, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012. He was born July 18, 1970 in Surry County to Carl Ira Cox and Alda Adkins Cox. He was employed with Phillips-Van Heusen. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughters, Sloane Cox of Traphill and Ashley Cox of Traphill; fiancée, Melissa Childress of Traphill; stepchildren, Caleb Pertko and Amanda Guinn; brother, Michael Cox and his wife Tammy of Roaring River; sister, Sandra Cox of Traphill; nephews, Cory Cox and Ryan Cox and his wife Deanna; and niece, Laken Cox. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Roaring Gap Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Collins and Mr. Shane Pardue officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. You will be greatly missed and we love you.
