Helen L. Wall, age 91, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehab Center in Wilkesboro. Helen was born October 28, 1920 in Surry County to Guthrie B. Wall and Hattie Key Wall. She was retired as an executive secretary from Pilot Freight and was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem where she served as deacon. Helen enjoyed traveling and during her lifetime she had traveled to many countries all over the world. Until her health declined, she volunteered with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and the Shepherd's Center. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Rev. Henry Wall, Charles "Chic" Wall, and Frank M. Wall; one sister, Nancy W. Warren. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Mulberry Primitive Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Ralph Groce officiating. The Wall family would like to thank the staff of Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehab for their care.
