Angela Lynn Colvard, age 49 of Jonesville, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012. She was born January 5, 1963 in Surry County to Bobby Colvard and Irene Smith Colvard. Angela was a retired textile designer for SkyLite Fashion in New York for over 20 years. A very loving single mother and grandmother, she leaves behind a son, Nicholas Johnson; grandson, Paul Johnson; mother and father Irene and Bobby Colvard; brothers, Bill Colvard and Doug Colvard; sister, Glenda Billings, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be conducted Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family requests that memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
