Joseph Gregory Smith

Mr. Joseph Gregory Smith, age 51 of Elkin, passed away at his home on January 11, 2012. Greg was born October 17, 1960 in Surry County to Joseph William and Georgia Absher Smith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Blake Aaron Smith. Greg is survived by a son, Travis Smith and his wife Angel; granddaughter, Cadance Marie Smith all of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by a brother, Bobby J. Smith and his wife Sally of Pawleys Island, SC; sister, Shelia S. Couch and her husband Phil of State Road. Greg also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved dearly. A private memorial service will be conducted to celebrate Greg's life. The family requests that memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
