Frances Alley Thompson

State Road Mrs. Frances Alley Thompson, age 90, of Blue Ridge Road, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Thompson was born March 18, 1915 in Louisa, Kentucky to Luke S. & Angelina Smith Alley. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and a member of Roaring Gap Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Thompson; four sisters and three brothers. Survivors include: Several nieces and nephews; special friends, Daniel & Hilda Wilmoth of State Road; Special caregivers, Mozelle Holcomb, Wilma Norman, Dorothy Simmons and Versie Melton. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 6, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Paul Coffey. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-3:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
