Dorothy Moody Stonestreet

State Road Mrs. Dorothy Moody Stonestreet, age 86, of Old Hwy. 21, passed away, Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Stonestreet was born April 23, 1919 in Wilkes County to J.C. & Verma Welborn Moody. Mrs. Stonestreet was a homemaker and a member of Mountain Park Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Home, John and Raymond Moody. Survivors include: her husband, Percy Stonestreet of the home; a daughter, Hilda Wilmoth and husband Daniel of State Road; a sister, Eva Lawrence of State Road; a granddaughter, Danielle Wiles; two great grandchildren, Eric Daniel Wiles, Morgan Elise Wiles. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 4, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. John Attaway and Rev. Carl Childs. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Mountain Park Baptist Church. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Stonestreet Family.
