Edward Robert Williamson

June 27, 1935 — July 30, 2005

Traphill Mr. Edward Robert Williamson, age 70, of Overland Trail, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2005 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Williamson was born June 27, 1935 in Blue Island, Illinois to Edward A. and Teresa Cione Williamson. Mr. Williamson was an independent insurance adjuster and a veteran of the United States Navy and was a Mason with Masonic Lodge #716 Calumet Lodge in Blue Island, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: His wife, Mary Stokes Williamson of the home; a son, Steven G. Williamson and wife Denise of Davidson; two daughters, Ellen H. Williamson of Chicago, Elizabeth A. Johnson and husband Matthew of Brentwood, TN; two sisters, Helen Butler of Blue Bell, PA, Carol J. Norman of Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren, Bryce R. Williamson, Katie E. Johnson, Carlyle R. Williamson and Matthew N. Johnson. A memorial service with Masonic Rites will be held Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Mark Greene. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Lung Association PO Box 27985 Raleigh, NC 27611 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454 Atlanta, GA 30368-2454.
