Hickory Miss Martha Elizabeth Yarboro, born to Kapp and Gertha Rose Yarboro, on January 14, 1927, died on July 31, 2006. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Tommy. She is survived by three sisters, Margaret Darnell, Emelene Miller and Gemmie Key; three brothers, Felix, Windle and Benny; in-laws, Ruther Cockerham Yarboro, Helen Graham Yarboro, Sandra Drane Yarboro, Donald Miller and Alan Key; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Charity United Methodist Church by Rev. Rex Cranfill. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Gemmie Key, 1797 Grange Road, Elkin, NC 28621.
