Mrs. Eva Adams Macy, age 91, of Elkin passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center. Mrs. Macy was born in Wilkes County October 29, 1919 to James Parks and Azeal Hager Adams. Mrs. Macy was a member of West Elkin Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Clarence Macy; three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include one son Foy Macy of Greensboro; three daughters, Carolyn Macy Waters of Elkin, Patricia Macy Hutchens of Boonville, Annette Macy Bell of Pollocksville; two sisters, Vallie Pardue of Ronda, and Vetral Sineath of Asheboro; six grandchildren, Lisa Holcomb and her husband Neal, Beth Welborn and her husband Gordon, Lori Holbrook, Julie Burrow and her husband Tom, Bryan Waters and his wife Kelly, Tara Houston and her husband Brian, Darrell Bell and his wife Vicki; thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandsons. Funeral services for Mrs. Macy will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 -3 pm, one hour prior to the service at Elkin Funeral Service.
