Mrs. Pauline Lyons-Pike, age 89 of Jonesville, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011. Pauline was born December 9, 1921 in Wilkes County to William Earl and Hessie Gentry Gant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands, Robert H. Lyons and James W. Pike; brother, Fred Gant; and stepson Glen Pike. Survivors include: her son, Charles Lyons of Elkin; daughter, Nancy Lyons of the home; step son, Bill Pike and his wife Betty of Charlotte; step daughter, Mary Jane Pike of Greensboro; step daughter-in-Law, Glenda Pike of Mt. Airy; brothers, Avery R. "Jack" Ghant of Jonesville and Kaline Gant and his wife Diane of Kernersville; sisters, Laura Kate Gant of West Indes and Chattie Martin and her husband Don of Dacula, GA; grandchildren, Michael Lyons and his wife Kathy of Jonesville and Marty Lyons and his wife Mandy of Elkin; great grandchildren, Brooke Lyons, Payton Lyons, and Hagen Lyons; Special niece, Karen Gant of Elkin, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Kevin Killam and Harlan Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. The family would like to thank the staff of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Hospice and Palliative Care Center and the staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Rehab. Center for their care.
