Lawrence William Watson

Dobson Mr. Lawrence William Watson, age 77, of NC 268, passed away Wednesday, August 06, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Watson was born January 11, 1931 in Gramby, CT to Clair Stuart & Alice Ryan Watson. Mr. Watson was retired from Pilch Poultry Breeders and was co-owner of Watson's Florist and Garden Center. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Watson was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: his wife, Doris Watson of the home; a son Loren Watson of Lowgap; two daughters, Doreen Yates of Lincolnton, Donna Watson of Elkin; two grandchildren, Dusty Nester and Dane Nester; a special Nephew, Daryl Lessard of Ocala, Fla. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephens Catholic Church by Father John Hanic. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Stephens Catholic Church Building Fund, 101 Hawthorne Road, Elkin, NC 28621.
